SCIDES is proud to partner with RINK Hockey Academy in Kelowna, British Columbia, to provide in-person blended education to competitive athletes in grades 5-8 on-site at RINK Academy. The R1 program athletes currently include hockey players, figure skaters, and swimmers, and they are looking to expand. 

Program Benefits

  • Student athletes are provided daily education and training time. Student athletes are not sacrificing training for education or vice versa.
  • Full time BC certified SCIDES teacher on site daily to support learners.

  • Blended learning model offers the best of both worlds, in-person and online.
  • R1 offers professional fitness training tailored to this specific age range across sports.
  • R1 offers on-ice skill development sessions for hockey players that are facilitated by professionals.
