SCIDES CODE OF CONDUCT
Although face-to-face contact is limited in a distributed learning school, there are times when a code of conduct is still helpful and necessary. Specifically, there is interaction between students electronically and also some gatherings where students come together. The following Code of conduct will be used when students communicate and come together.
As a member of the student body of SCIDES distributed learning schooI, will pledge to:
Be friendly, caring and respectful
Make sensible choices and respect those made by others
Set personal goals and help others reach theirs
Celebrate my successes and encourage others to do their best

Examples of Unacceptable Behaviours
- Bullying & Harassment either electronically or at school functions.
- Cigarettes/drugs/alcohol use at school functions
- Bringing weapons to school functions

- school suspension of internet priviledges

Notification
Depending on the severity of the infraction the school will inform other parties as necessary. For example, in case of illegal activity, the R.C.M.P. will be notified or if the safety or well being of a child is in question, Ministry of Children and Families will be notified. |
