It is recommended that students have previously successfully completed Mathematics 9. This is an academic mathematics course leading to postsecondary programs with emphasis in science and related fields of study.

SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR
The provision of and the expertise to operate a scientific calculator is expected and is the responsibility of the student. As well, there may be times when the availability and use of a spreadsheet program or a graphing calculator are suggested or optional, but not required.
EVALUATION
The SCHOOL portion of a student’s grades will be determined by a combination of the following:
18 Unit assignments – 40%
7 Module tests – 60%
This School grade will contribute 80% of a student’s final course grade. The other 20% comes from the required Provincial Exam. |
