Colleen Reynoldson

Hello and welcome to the South Central Interior Distance Education School.

My name is Colleen Reynoldson and I am one of the Secondary Program Advisors at our school.

I have been a teacher for 28 years and have held numerous teaching positions throughout my career.  I obtained my Bachelor Of Education from UBC and began my career as an elementary teacher and then went on to teach mentally challenged students between the ages of 6 and 19.  After that, I went to the University of Alberta and obtained a Diploma in the Teaching of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.  When I returned to Merritt, I taught in a resource room at the local high school and then taught at a storefront program helping at-risk teens.  In 1992, I transferred to SCIDES and have been here ever since with the exception of a two-year distance education teaching exchange I did in Australia.

I have really enjoyed teaching at SCIDES and have seen many positive changes throughout the years. I look forward to working with you.
