What is the role of the teacher? |
| Upon enrollment with SCIDES students are assigned to a teacher responsible for that grade. The teacher is responsible for keeping regular contact with students, monitoring progress and providing report cards. We encourage all students to complete their courses by mid-June as teachers are not available in the summer months. |
Responsibilities of teachers in SCIDES |

• Providing opportunities for students to work with peers on an ongoing basis (as location and availability of communication tools provides).
• Providing a clearly articulated learning plan for their course(s) with timelines for submission of work, as negotiated between student and teacher.
• Providing students with meaningful learning activities related to the subject matter under study.
